Our Rainsong Loft is a beautiful 2-bedroom space (1,100 sq feet) located on the 2nd floor of the historic 1912 FG Hill building above the Big Rain Gallery. The loft was completely remodeled in 2016 by owners Addie Roanhorse and Jill Jones. Their goal was to retain quaint historic touches of the original building combined with modern amenities. The loft is available for short-term rental on Airbnb or VRBO with accommodation up to six guests.
The loft offers spacious rooms, high ceilings, and original wood floors. There are two bedrooms, one with queen bed and another with one full bed and one twin bed. The loft also includes living room with flat screen TV and additional daybed, kitchen, dining room, bathroom with clawfoot tub, screened back porch, and private backyard area with fire pit. Guests have occupancy of the entire loft space with private entrance where they can enjoy a perfect view of downtown Pawhuska and Kihekah Street.
Our guests consider the transformation of our 2nd floor space to be a unique loft experience. The location is perfect for visiting everything downtown Pawhuska has to offer! Many of our guests are visiting Pawhuska for the Pioneer Woman Mercantile which is within walking distance only about a block up the street.
The loft has received numerous 5-star reviews noting its comfort, amenities, style, and convenience for access to downtown Pawhuska. Guests especially enjoy being able to walk out the front door and find themselves steps away from everything downtown Pawhuska has to offer.
Several items at the loft are featured in the Martin Scorsese production “Killers of the Flower Moon” including period furniture pieces and area rugs. Guests will enjoy art displayed throughout the loft from Gina Gray, Addie Roanhorse, and other Native artists, as well as historic photos from Pawhuska in earlier days.
Guests who also want to host a larger event may inquire about renting the downstairs gallery space for a larger gathering or party. Our local photographer with Shiloh Martin Photography is available for photo shoots at the loft and interesting sites in downtown Pawhuska, ideal for families, groups, and bachelorette trips.
